Job Description

UX/UI Designer

Prague, Czech Republic

Momence was founded in 2020, graduated from Y Combinator, and raised an $11M Series A. We build and operate a software platform for experience-based and membership-driven businesses, including yoga and fitness studios, dance schools, wellness centers, salons, golf facilities, and more. Today, Momence supports more than 5,500 businesses and hundreds of thousands of end users every month. From day one, you'll work on a product with real impact, helping businesses grow, streamline operations, and create better customer experiences.

Since 2025, Momence has been part of Xplor Technologies, a global technology company providing software, payments, and commerce solutions for service-based and membership businesses worldwide. This allows us to combine the speed, ownership, and product mindset of a startup with the scale, stability, and opportunities of a global organization.

As a UX/UI Designer, you play a pivotal role in creating intuitive and visually appealing user experiences for our digital products. You collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to understand user needs and translate them into engaging and user-friendly interfaces. You have a passion for user-centered design, a strong understanding of user research methodologies, and proficiency in design tools.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to understand project requirements and align design solutions with business goals. Effectively communicate design concepts and rationale to gain buy-in and feedback. Collaborate with developers to ensure the successful implementation of design solutions, providing support and clarification throughout the development process.
  • User Research and Analysis: Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points. Analyze data and insights to inform design decisions and ensure user-centered design solutions.
  • User Experience Design: Create wireframes, prototypes, and interaction flows to conceptualize and design intuitive user experiences. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on designs based on user feedback and usability testing.
  • User Interface Design: Develop visually appealing and consistent user interfaces that align with brand guidelines. Apply design principles to create visually compelling layouts, graphics, and iconography.
  • Information Architecture: Structure and organize information effectively to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience. Create user flows, sitemaps, and navigation systems to optimize user interactions.
  • Design System and Guidelines: Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency across products and promote efficient design processes.
  • Industry and Design Trends: Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices. Apply this knowledge to drive innovation and elevate the overall user experience.

What are we looking for?

  • 3 years of experience in UX/UI design or product design.
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience as a UX/UI Designer or in a similar role.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of UX/UI design projects and a solid understanding of design principles.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or similar.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and front-end development principles to effectively collaborate with developers.
  • Knowledge of interaction design, information architecture, and visual design principles.
  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and applying user-centered design methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze design challenges and propose innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and articulate design concepts and decisions.
  • Experience working in Agile development processes and collaborating with development teams.
  • Attention to detail and a strong focus on delivering high-quality designs that enhance user experiences.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design.
  • Fluency in English, as we use it daily.
  • Based in the Czech Republic. You can work from our Prague office, fully remotely, or in a hybrid setup—whatever works best for you.

What can you expect from us?

  • Work on diverse UX projects, designing web interfaces, checkout flows, and key platform components.
  • Competitive salary, with the option to be paid in CZK or USD.
  • A modern office in Prague's Karlín district
  • Remote or Hybrid
  • Regular team events.
  • A friendly and supportive environment, fostering collaboration and professional growth.

At Momence, we celebrate diversity and strive to create an inclusive environment where there is respect, regardless of your background or identity. We are committed to being an equal opportunity employer and welcome you as you are.
