Maintenance MechanicThe incumbent performs work in one or more of the skilled building or service trades, on a journeyman level, in the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment and facilities. Does related work as required.Essential functions include regular daily attendance, the ability to walk and carry heavy items, good vision, physical strength, intelligence, and social skills.Performance responsibilities include skilled work with building or service trades, plumbing and heating, minor electrical work, planning work, operating power equipment, maintaining equipment and shop, repairing trucks and other equipment, cleaning and painting, and performing occasional cleaning duties. Other tasks as assigned.Reports to the Maintenance Mechanic Crew Chief or an administrative employee of higher rank. May supervise and train lower level maintenance workers and laborers.
